Beautiful Chords in Drop D

During my relaxing portion of my recent Pilates class (you know I’m a Pilates girly!) I was listening to “I’m So Scared of My Guitar” by Olivia Rodrigo and was thinking, I have to learn these beautiful voicings! Yes, maybe I should have been clearing my thoughts and having a moment of peace, but that’s nbot what we guitarists do when listening to music. So I went home and learned them, and now I’m sharing them with you :)

This is a quick and easy post! All that you need to do to begin is tune your guitar to Drop D (DADGBE) and start playing!

All of these are played around your regular barre chord shapes, so experiment and have fun- there are a lot of these types of chords that I didn’t include to keep things short and sweet, but hopefully these will get you started!

Here they are! I like these because if you play live, they would be very easy to incorporate into a set with just a simple tune of a string. You could play them with really any song that has standard chords in D.

Watch my video for a full tutorial! Hope you love these and would love to know any questions or comments you have below!
