If you have ever gone to a resturant, bar, or music venue with live music and thought, “maybe one day I could do that!”, this blog is for you! In this post, I’ll be breaking down a step by step process of how you can start a band and get more gigs as a musician this year!
I know there are a lot of people who just love walking into a guitar store and everything about the experience. For me however, there’s always been an element of anxiety to pulling a guitar off the wall (or even worse, having to ask an employee to do so for me!) and thinking of what to noodle on it. Even though I know no one is watching me or cares at all about what I’m playing, I feel self conscious and my mind tends to forget that I’ve ever played a guitar in my life. Through the years though, I’ve learned some techniques that have helped make this a more fun and less anxiety producing experience. Learn my top tips in this blog!
I am the queen of getting distracted and numerous times have set out to practice guitar and wind up looking at Free People instead for a half hour. It’s the worst feeling when I’m constantly thinking back to all the time I’ve “wasted” that I could have spent getting better at guitar! However, I have learned a few tricks to make sure I am regularly practicing and improving at guitar, even when I'm having trouble concentrating. I wanted to share them in this blog with you so l hopethat these help you!
